Rejuvenation of Queenstown

The Singapore government have embarked on the largest collective redevelopment for public housing for the Queenstown area.

A total of 31 blocks along Commonwealth Drive and Tanglin Halt Road will be redeveloped under the SERS scheme and affected residents will be relocated to the Dawson estate (one of the subzones with the Queenstown Planning Area).

More information on the redevelopment can be found on AsiaOne’s website here.

This redevelopment effort will tie into the HDB’s plans for the rejuvenation of the Dawson estate, which is part of its efforts to create a new and improved living environment for residents, and to inject greater vibrancy to the estate.
